Some audiences don't live in their inbox — but almost everyone reads a text within minutes. Wavefield sends survey invitations by SMS with single-use personal links, enforced opt-in consent, and automatic opt-out handling, from a carrier-verified number.

Upload a CSV with a phone column, pick the SMS channel, and send. Everything a careful research operation needs is already built in:
Texting people without consent violates the TCPA in the US and CASL in Canada, and carriers filter senders who ignore that. Wavefield is built so the compliant path is the only path:
The platform refuses to send an SMS batch until the sender attests the contacts opted in to research texts — it's enforced server-side, not a skippable reminder.
STOP takes effect at the carrier level instantly, and the contact is marked opted-out in Wavefield — excluded from every future text, even from newly uploaded lists.
Messages send from a carrier-verified toll-free number with a documented, publicly posted consent process — the same documentation carriers and regulators review.
Our consent and opt-in process is documented publicly at wavefieldresearch.com/sms-consent — written for carrier and regulatory review, and useful reading if your legal team asks how texting respondents stays compliant.
Yes, with prior consent. In the US, the TCPA requires the recipient's prior express consent before you text them; in Canada, CASL requires consent and working opt-out handling. Wavefield enforces this structurally: the platform will not send an SMS batch until the sender attests the contacts opted in, every message carries opt-out language, and STOP replies are honored automatically and permanently.
The opt-out takes effect immediately at the carrier level, and Wavefield also records it on the contact — they're excluded from every future SMS send, for that study and any later one, even if they appear in a newly uploaded list. There's nothing to configure and no way to accidentally text them again.
US$0.05 per message sent, to US and Canadian numbers, on top of any plan — including the $99 Basic tier. There's no separate SMS platform fee and no monthly minimum; email invitations are always included at no per-message cost.
Yes — upload one contact list with email and/or phone columns and choose the channel per send. The platform prevents double-contacting: an invitation only goes to contacts who haven't been invited on either channel, and reminders target only non-responders.
No. Each text carries that respondent's personal single-use link, which opens the survey in their phone's browser. The survey runner is built for mobile — respondents can even put their phone down and resume later where they left off.
